As well as being the longest serving member of the the United Kingdom International Search and Rescue team (UKISAR) and an active NILO, Terry has both operated and commanded at every level of the fire service and search and rescue sector for nearly 4 decades. Within this time he has attended and supported major international incidents/disasters and continues to facilitate international exercises. Terry is a true world leader in the technical field. Terry also works to a high level of risk assessment, medical and advisory roles for various prestigious clients . He has unmatched experience and also the talent and ability to instruct and mentor these skills. Terry is highly respected in many circles. In 2023 Terry received an MBE on His Majesty’s New Years Honours list for contribution to global rescue.
With nearly a decade and half of service as an operational firefighter and search & rescue technician, Rob has honed his skills conducting emergency operations to facilitate rescues and provide casualty care. Rob’s time in service has seen him accumulate a wealth of specialist experience and knowledge, training and operating in dynamic and complex risk environments both domestically and internationally. Outside of his career, Rob has worked alongside several industrial and bespoke rescue companies, often in training and advisory roles. This includes the film industry and Aviation and Maritime sectors. Rob is dedicated and passionate in the development of the skills and abilities of others within rescue and pre-hospital medical care. He believes in ensuring ‘basics done well’ and ‘stimulation and high-fidelity training at all levels’ form pillars across The Soteria Group training platform
After competing at a national level of sport, Tom travelled the world and lived in New Zealand over a number of years. On returning to the UK Tom joined the fire service and serves as a search and rescue operator within the command structure with multiple skillsets that enable him to adapt, overcome and manage situations posed to modern rescue operations. Tom has deployed to multiple national and international disasters using his specialist set of skills to assist those in need of support. Tom has developed service leading technology such as apps and training aids in order to improve tactical and strategic outcomes across services to ensure his teams can respond as effectively as possible at incidents. Tom thrives on planning and leading multiagency exercises designed in locations never used before to create the most realistic training possible giving the most immersive experience possible.
Advanced Paramedic specialising in HEMS and specialist rescue.
More than 14 years current experience within the UK Armed Forces. Serving with multiple specialist units in various operations all over the world as a solo paramedic, within multidisciplinary multinational teams and as medical director and clinical lead.
As well as the Military, Ty has worked in many different sectors from counter terrorism, political security & protection, TV & film as well research. He is heavily involved in pre-hospital and critical care research and is passionate and experienced clinician, operator and instructor. In 2021, Ty received an MBE on Her Majesty’s New Years Honours list for medicine and saving lives on operations.
